i recently heard that using the gwx2 addon can be very helpful for achieving your drunkard title but i can find a link that i necessarily trust does anybody know a good site to download it from?

I don't know how GWx2 can be helpful for achieving your drunkard title. The best I can think of would be that you could work on your drunkard title on one account (perhaps using a bot), while playing GW on another account, (perhaps farming alcohol).
That wouldn't help get your drunkard title any faster.

I think the site that originally hosted gwx2 also had a link to an (EULA breaching) drunkard bot. But gwx2 (which is fine to run, I run it myself) doesn't have anything to do with the drunkard title.

The host site for GWx2 still has that link to a drunkard bot, which is why linking to the GWx2 site is frowned on by mods here.

Using a bot that violates the EULA can result in a ban, so I don't personally see the point of doing that to get a title on an account using a method that can result in termination of that account.

GWx2 is fine. NCSoft will not provide support if you use it, but they aren't going to punish you either.
